I'm seriously miffled by what was published in U-weekly.

"Out of all the new season japanese dramas, the only one which was a remake is Toma's drama named "Maou". The other 2 dramas were original films and "Shibatora" is an adapted story from the manga featured in "weekly shounen magazine" in 2006.

When the korean version of "Maou" (otherwise known as "Mawang") was aired, due to unseen reasons, the ratings were not good. But the casts' have received good reviews on their acting skills. The Japanese version of "Maou" focuses on 2 male lead actors namely Ohno Satoshi and Ikuta Toma who have great popularity. However in local japanese fans opinions, Ohno's looks and popularity couldn't be compared to Toma's and he could not portray the same character as the popular korean idol, Joo Ji Hoon. As for the female actress, "kobayashi ryoko", other than her figure which is slimmer than the korean actress, her charisma isn't as good as the korean one

In the first week of maou's broadcast, its ratings won shibatora by 1%. (Maou's was 14%, and Shibatora's was 13%) And lets hope the new drama "33" which will be aired in August by Domoto Tsyoshi, will bring justice back for japanese dramas."

Who is this person to compare Ohno Satoshi with Ikuta Toma? Sure, Toma has his own glory moments but to compare a junior with a senior? That's like comparing me with the Prime Minister despite us having achieved something. It's just not right!

The write is not being fair and to a large extent biased, cause she's not reviewing the DRAMA ITSELF. WHERE'S THE REVIEW ABOUT THE PLOT? HOW ABOUT THE SHOT TAKEN? THE CAMER ANGLE BEING USED? THE LIGHTING? THE BACKGROUND SOUND? THE IRONY OF IT ALL? WHERE?? I demand them all!

But nooo, the writer chose to focus on some other superficial ideas that will attract readers to her comment. Something sensationalised that will make readers who have yet to watch the japanese version go, "hmm, seriously? Then maybe I won't watch it afterall. I mean, who wants to watch the actors trying to outwit one another, or try to be more popular than one another?"

Or even if they'll watch it, they'll keep remember this review and go, "Ah, the writer was right. Toma is better than Ohno." etc.

Biased much?

And what this, about "local japanese fans' opinions"?? Why wasn't I interviewed for MY opinion? I would gladly give it WITHOUT BEING BIASED! unlike YOU reporter.

I'm sorry, I had to laugh when I read what the writer wrote about Maou.

Not that it's true. I laughed because it totally reflect how close-minded and shallow her/his comment was. In addition, -I'm a Malay so I don't read U-weekly- I feel that the writer might be a huge fan of those love stories? And not something like in Maou genre? O_o

I'm disappointed though with her/his comments. Sure, Maou being compared to the korean version is inevitable, but her/his review have to be concrite one way or another.

And tell me. Which writer will actually review a drama with this sentence below:

Note the underlined sentence. I had to laugh though, is the writer *GASP* SHALLOW? -_-" SLIMMER? WAS THAT ALL SHE NOTICED??

Seriously though, it's a miracle that the editor actually allowed such review to be posted.

What I really 100x wanna know is, did this writer EVEN watch the drama? And please, don't even give a crap about not understanding a single word they're saying.

Acting is more than just words.

Which the writer clearly didn't know. Sigh. How marvellous.

It's either that she have a huge problem with shallow-ness or she's like, late for her deadline and decided to do the unthinkable:

"Self, why not we surf the net and checked what other fans think about Maou?"

"Yup, we're seriously gonna be dead if we miss the deadline. Let's just copy paste whatever they've mentioned, and just skip through the drama."

"I agree with you, self. Aren't we just clever? Besides, the editor will be pressed for time as well, and I have a feeling he/she won't checked it through thoroughly."

Soooo that's what really happened...

Did I mention that I was ashamed? I do.

We should boycott this magazine and lodge a complain letter to them.

Sigh.

Ouh, and don't forget about the editor too. Which editor will let such a brainless review being published to the world?

There's something seriously wrong with me currently.

I think.

Because of the fact that I'm not schooling for about 6 months, my life has turned upside down.

When others are sleeping, I'm wide awake, feeling bored.

So can you imagine not being able to sleep until about 4 in the morning, and with nothing to do?

Okay maybe I'm exaggerating about the having nothing to do part.

But still, I wanted to do something. And not just surfing the net for... my f-fan-fandom stuff.

Which I currently have a lot, so I'll tend to get a headache after a while.

So I asked myself,

"Self, what should I do?"
" I know, let's surf the net for new recipes, and try them out!"

Pathetic I know, but since trying out new recipes were the only thing I'm capable off early in the morning... You have the idea.

So I surf the net and got this recipe:

Sweet, Creamy Coleslaw. Hey, I have all the ingredients in the pantry.

So yes, there I was, at 1 or 2 am, making coleslaw for myself.

End result? I will probably make it again. It's easy, and delicious.

Not sure about it being healthy though XD

And in case you're wondering, I didn't eat everything. I made it, taste it, and store the rest in the fridge for tomorrow's lunch.

I ended up baking this.

And despite it being nice, I made my own Chocolate glaze to give it a better taste.

Yes, he too couldn't sleep, and thus ended up camping in front of the oven waiting it to finish NOT. Haha.

The rest of nights were spent watching numerous videos on youtube.

Yesterday night.

I was utterly interested in this section, "Recipes with 5 ingredients or less" of this website I like to venture a lot.

After browsing through several recipes and bookmarking a couple of them, I decided immediately to make this:

Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies.

Ingredients?

Peanut butter, Egg and Sugar. Bake for 8 minutes.

Woah. But after reading the reviews, I decided to add in vanilla extract and baking powder.

Uh-h, I think it might not be a good idea...

... Imagine my surprise when I went to check... and found my cookies totally spread out and... BIG.

~_~ See how big they got into? Omg they're... huge.

Which goes to show that the baking powder is doing it's thang~

I was already wondering by then, what my mom's reaction was going to be like...
especially seeing that I used up her entire peanut butter

The good thing was, the cookies were seriously, seriously thin. Flattened out.

But delicious!

Y-yes, I should have use a spatula instead. d(>.<)b

Other note to this long entry, Plaza Singapura is having a Japanese and Korean FOOD FIESTA from now till 20th July!

Takoyaki, Japanese crepes, Sushi, Choco Pie ...

I finally watched Maou! ^^;

The best birthday present anyone could give me. Well, virtually. ((: go 4th of July!

I have to say, despite making my mind NOT to buy the next single from Arashi, "Truth" tempt me like no other. Mainly cause

1) The song is super catchy.

2) I hope it's true.. when I heard it for the first time, it seems to me that Ohno has many solo verses - Another good point

3) Its the OST for Ohno Satoshi's drama. (>.<)

4) I like how the rest of the guys' voices blend together. <333

I was honestly nervous that Ohno would not be able to deliver, seeing that he tends to mumble, and spaced out. But I have to say, he's totally different in the drama!

So I've been using Bro's iTouch lately to surf the net, despite the limitations. In addtion, I've been using it to watch numerous vidoes on youtube, particularly, this show: 2 Days 1 Night or better known as 1N2D.

It's really hilarious, and when I watched it with my mom for the first time, she laughed out loud, clutching her stomach while watching it. Simply because the show is a no brainer, but funny at the same time. If you have Starhub cable, do watch it on channel 173 at 3 pm every thursday!!

Lee Seung Gi :D He was the one I like first on the show, mainly cause he's cute (his dimples ~_~) but also because he's super ... blur? haha. He never fail to make weird and unthinkable comments on the show. And his face when he just wake up... Heh. ((: and yes I'm biased ~ I couldn't help it ^____^

What I've noticed was that... for the last 4 performances, Ohno seems to have a habit of rolling up his left sleeves up to almost 3/4. Does anyone else seem to realize that?

Hmm. I guess the only reason why he does it is cause... It's hot? Haha. But then again, during his Rain's performance at Tokyo Dome, he rolled up both sleeves. ^__^

And now for my own amusement...
